Id like to suggest a decent read is Frank Gardners 'Blood & Sand'. Frank, you may remember was the BBC journalist who was shot and left for dead in Iraq a couple of years ago. Although he survived, he is paralysed, and wrote this account of the shooting and aftermath. I have to admit Im reading it back to front. I can identify with lots of things he writes about especially a lot of the neurological tests we all have to undergo. Im particularly fond of the 'drawing pin up your bum test'. At least thats what my doctor uses!
